Manual swing arm tire changers were pioneered by Coats® and are known as Rim Clamp tire changers. They consist of an adjustable, locking main tool arm and a Duckhead® mount/demount tool that swings over the wheel, or out of the way when not required. This gives the operator ergonomic access to the rim, work surface and clamping system. The benefits of this design hinge in its simplicity and the ability to be easily locked into place to service a series of similar wheels.
